Principal Investigator at Circular Economy Research Group (KTU) dr. Lina Dagilienė participated in the Atliekos-2026: Practical Conference, held on 24th April in Vilnius (Lithuania). She presented the results of scientific research “Cities’ and Municipalities’ Readiness for the Implementation of Circular Economy Principles.”
The aim of the conference was to bring together sector representatives in one place, to build connections between producers and importers, and to identify common ground that helped create a unified, strong, and well-functioning waste management system that met the needs of both industry participants and businesses, as well as society. This year, the focus was on the interaction between economic and environmental solutions in waste management practices. During the event, experts discussed the regulation of the waste system, the challenges and opportunities of product and packaging management, and technological solutions, while also emphasizing the importance of cooperation and the distribution of responsibilities among sector participants, institutions, and residents to ensure the process ran smoothly and efficiently.
