On 1 July 2026, researchers from the Circular Economy Research Group participated in the international ECLECTIC workshop “Circular Economy in Action: Lessons from the ECLECTIC Project” in Coimbra, Portugal, which brought together representatives from six Portuguese municipalities. The workshop explored how cities and regions can move from circular economy strategies to practical actions through data-driven decision-making, Life Cycle Assessment, and stakeholder collaboration. Prof. Dr. Jurgita Bruneckienė presented the case of Jonava District Municipality, Lithuania, highlighting opportunities to make public consumption more circular, challenges in green and circular public procurement, and practical solutions for municipalities. She emphasised that successful circular transitions require locally adapted solutions, stronger cooperation between municipalities and public organisations, and the integration of circular economy principles into everyday decision-making.
