Dr. Viktorija Varaniūtė, a member of the Circular Economy Research Group at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), participated in the R&D Management 2026 Conference “Creativity and Resilience in an Era of Technological Disruption.” The paper was co-authored with Lina Dagilienė, Jurgita Bruneckienė and Asta Tarutė from Kaunas University of Technology, and Olga Dziubaniuk from Tampere University.
At the conference, Viktorija presented their joint paper “Governance Scenarios of Circular Ecosystems: A Case of the Lithuanian Beverage Deposit Return System.” The study explores how governance mechanisms operate within a mature circular ecosystem and how they may evolve under different future development scenarios. Using the Lithuanian Beverage Deposit Return System as an empirical case, the research examines governance from both the ecosystem orchestrator’s and other actors’ perspectives.
